MATCH REPORT: Chelsea 1-0 AshantiGold – Amankona's goal dejects Miners in last game of the round

Stephen Amankona’s first half goal brought down The Elephants to elevate The Blues to great heights after the first half of the season.

Stephen Amankona got his head unto a neatly crossed ball on the 30th minute to break the game’s virginity.

 

In the second half, both teams tried scoring more to give life to the game after a boring first half but both teams approach could not  yield any result different from the first half.

Though the desire to light up the game by both sides in the second half was appreciable, their efforts remained quashed by the determined oppositions which left the game unattended to on the field in terms of results as juxtaposed to the first half.

With one game to honour, Ashanti Gold share points with Asante Kotoko who have played all 15 games but have superior goal difference on third place whiles Chelsea catapult themselves to the 9th position with the win with 19 points after 15 games.
