Match Report – Ebusua Dwarfs 0-1 Asante Kotoko, Porcupine Warriors mysteriously Dwarf Crabs in Ogua Land.

Asante Kotoko needed a 71st minute header from Defender Christopher Nettey to pick the 3 maximum points against Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs in their week 7 outstanding game played in Cape Coast.

Fresh from picking a win against Liberty Professionals in Dansoman, Ebusua Dwarfs sort to add the Fabulous club to the list of victims in the ongoing league.

 

Ebusua Dwarfs playing in front of their home fans for the first time in almost a year began the game on a high flying note, pinning their guest deep into defence.

But Johnson Smith, who approached the game on a morw defensive bote with Habib Mohammed playing in front of the back 4 was rock solid , keeping their hosts at bay.

Inspite of the tight midfield battle, Asante Kotoko managed to break the back of rhe Abontoa Bontoa boys, with Kwame Poku and Brazilian Fabio Gama Missing from close range.

Just before the half hour mark,Christopher Nettey rounded up his marker in thw penalty box, but his low cross found the waiting hands of Goalkeeper Razak for Ebusua Dwarfs.

Kwame Poku his the side net in the 36th minute when he latched onto a Fabio Gama pass, having to press their hosts again.

Ebusua Dwarfs came close the getting the first goal in the 41st minute after Yussif Mubarik lost the ball to an a Dwarfs attacker who went on to shoot at goal, but Razak Abalora was untroubled and saved the ball for the Porcupine Warriors.

The second half of the game became more intense with each side trying to break the back of the net, but it was Asante Kotoko who got the better of the chances when Christopher Nettey latched on to a Patrick Asmah’s cross to power a low header into the net from close range, beating the Goalkeeper.

The goal kept Asante Kotoko players in a relaxed mood as Ebusua Dwarfs lifted their play in search of the equalizer, but Johnson Smith improved his defence with Samuel Frimpong for Emmanuel Gyamfi.
