Ghana Black Meteors ended their Asia tour with yet a disappointing performance to lose 2-1 to the Tigers of Asia in the last of 2 friendly matches between the two countries
Ghana approached the game very cautiously having previously lost to the same side just 3 days earlier.
Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin made 2 changes to hsi side that lost the previous match with Jonah Attuquaye and Frimpong Boateng starting the game.
The new game plan that consisted mainly of defensive strategy with morw Ghanaian players in their own half seemed to work this time with the Koreas forcing their way to get the needed goal
The Black Meteors kept their hosts at bay until the last 5 minutes of the game when Republic of Korea’s Woo-Young Jung produced a left footed shot from the left side of the penalty area down the front for the first goal of the game.
Ghana Returned to the second half with a more aggressive system, countering their hosts with swift flank play, and in just 5 minutes of the second half, captain Osman Bukhari provided the most important pass of the game with an assists from the right side of the penalty area to Joselfo Barnes who connected with a right-footed shot from the center of the penalty area down the front of the goal foe the equalizer.
But the Ghanaians celebration was cut shot only 14 minutes later when Lee Dong-kyung assisted with a pass from the right flank found Lee Dong-jun whose right-footed shot from the center of the penalty area towards the bottom right of the goal.
The Ghanaians became more cautious again after the Koreans got the second goal, but that was not enough as Attacker Jonah Attuquaye was shown the red card for a second yellow card in the 89th minute.
That was all the two teams could produce as the Referee brought proceedings to an end.
The Black Meteors therefore suffered a 15 goal deficit in their area tour that saw them play Korea and Japan.
