Match Report – Police ‘arrests’ Immigration officers detailed at La McDan

Ghana Police Service maintained their bragging rights over fellow security agency, the Ghana Immigration Service when they handed a painful 1-0 defeat to them in the Ghana FA Women Elite Football league.
A 54th minute goal from Captain fantastic Josephine Boateng was all the Police Ladies needed to report the the IGP of their great success over their fellow ‘loud mouth’ agency.
Immigration Ladies, playing as the home side seemed to have won the pre game bragging rights when they refused a proposal to allow the game to be shifted to Sunday to allow enough patrons to watch the game.
Police Ladies began the game on a much more intensive note, trying to silence their opponents, but Goalkeeper Abigail Neequaye stood tall to deny the-agreesive’ Police from scoring at Half Hour mark
Immigration themselves got two clear chances at goal before the break, but over hesitation prevented them from causing any havoc to their opponents.
With only 8 minutes of play in the second half, Police Ladies exerted their supremacy on the game, pilling pressure on the hosts, who committed lots of fouls in their own area, allowing Police to take control of the game with the set pieces.
In the 54th minute, Captain Josephine Boateng took advantage of a free kick in the goal area of Immigration Ladies, before connecting beautifully for the only goal of the game to carry the day, and maintain their superiority on their fellow security agency playing in the same league.
