Matchday 9 Ghana Premier League Wrap Up: Hearts of Oak back to winning ways; Kotoko held to a stalemate at Sogakope

Accra Hearts of Oak recorded a big win over Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday night. Manaf Umar broke the deadlock in the 11th minutes. Victor Aidoo scored the second goal to wrap up the win in the 67th minutes.

Karela United went to the top of the Ghana Premier League after they beat Berekum Chelsea 4-1 at the CAM Park at Ayinase on Sunday. Goals from  Diawisie Taylor and Kwame Boateng helped Karela United record their 5th victory of the season.

Medeama joined Aduana Stars at the middle of the league table after they drew goalless against Ashantigold.

Aduana Stars took a leaf from Medeama’s playbook and got themselves a 2-1 victory over Legon Cities FC at the Nana Agyeman Badu II Park. Yahaya Mohammed and Fatau Abdul Rahman were on target for the home side who went 8th on the table with the result.

Michael Quaye’s brace was the difference as Great Olympics pipped regional rivalry Inter Allies 2-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ebusua Dwarfs responded to their Week 9 with a 2-1 turnaround win at away against Liberty Professionals. Michael Asamoah and Sumaila Moro goals gave Dwarfs the points on the day.

Bechem United with their unbeaten record at home held Dreams FC to a 1-1 stalemate on Sunday.

WAFA dropped points at home for the second time this season but remain unbeaten after a 1-1 draw with Asante Kotoko on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.
