Former National Circles Council Chairman Kwaku Amponsah (K5) says it was early days yet for Kumasi Asante Kotoko to sack Coach Maxwell Konadu.
Maxwell Konadu was axed off his post last week Friday following his poor start in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
His contract with Kotoko came to an end after losing to Great Olympics in the top-flight league at home.
According to Chairman K5, Kotoko should have given Coach Maxwell Konadu enough time to prove himself right and over turn their fortunes.
In an interview on Fox 97.9 Fm, the former Ncc Chairman said, “it was too early to show Maxwell Konadu the exit door, they should have given him enough time, I believe he could have turn things around”.
“I don’t support the appointment of a White coach, what do they achieve for Kotoko when they come”, he asked a multimillion question.
“They just display good football but nothing good comes out of it”.
“So the management should rescind their decision,or they shouldn’t think of appointing a White coach. They should appoint a local coach” he concluded.
Kotoko climb up the ladder; moving on to 7th on the league log. They have 8 points from 5 games with a game in hand.
