Medeama Coach, Samuel Boadu names strong squad to face Berekum Chelsea in special competition

Medeama goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi has been named in the starting line-up against Berekum Chelsea on the final day of the group.

The deputy captain is making a return to the team for the first time since he suffered a shoulder injury during the side’s 1-1 draw at Aduana Stars on April 24.

The return of the experienced last line of defense is a massive boost to the side ahead of the must-win game against the Blues at home.

Also making a return to the side is defender Ali Ouattara.

The centre-back is back from suspension and will partner Daniel Egyin at the heart of defence.

Hugely talented Samuel Appiah and exciting Bright Enchil maintain their respective right and left backs respectively.

Ivorian import Camara N’guessan, Rashid Nortey and Justice Blay will boss the midfield with Isaac Agyenim Boateng and youngster Tahiru Awudu leading the attack.

Striker Kalibo Dedy Toussaint makes the substitute bench after serving a three-match ban.

Captain Joseph Tetteh-Zutat also makes the bench for the first time in over a month.

He had been out injured.

Medeama must beat the Berekum-based side and hope other results go their way to secure a semi-final berth.
