Milovan Rajevac admits Ghana job remains his biggest success in coaching career

Ghana Coach Milovan Rajevac says leading the Black Stars to the quarterfinals of the 2010 FIFA World Cup as well as the finals of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations remains the biggest success in his Coaching career.

The Serbian admits to shooting to limelight from a successful spell in Ghana.

Rajevac supervised the Black Stars to a historic quarterfinals feat at the World Cup some 11 years ago. The Black Stars best achievement in their three FIFA World Cup appearances, having initially led the team to the finals of the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations where they lost to record holders Egypt.

The 67-year-old after leaving Ghana went on to Coach Qatar, Algeria and Thailand where he barely left any impression.

The experienced trainer who is on a second stint in Ghana insist his time with the Black Stars remains his best ever moments since taking up the profession.

“I was aware of the challenge and the task because nobody was more motivated than me to go to the World Cup especially to take Ghana because this was the biggest success in my career in Ghana and we have a history.

“Very often I rewind in my mind the match against Uruguay and the famous penalty so this is something that drives me forward and I believe we can achieve even more so the motivation is high and nobody wants this more than me.”

The former Al Ahli Coach have been tasked to qualify Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
