Black Stars Coach Milovan Rajevac has revealed his reason to hand an opportunity to youngster Abdul Fatawu Ishahaku in the team’s World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe in Cape Coast.
The 17-year-old was handed a start and impressed as Ghana defeated Zimbabwe 3-1.
Ishahaku, best player at the 2021 Africa U20 Cup of Nations is being regarded as one of the biggest prospects for Ghana.
The young player was first handed a call-up by former Coach CK Akonnor but was overlooked in games against Ethiopia and South Africa as well as an international friendly against Cote d’ Ivoire and Morocco.
Rajevac who seem to have monitored the player at the Africa U20 Cup of Nations says the Real Tamale United youngster justified himself at training.
“He recommended himself with his performance for U-20 team and when he came to the camp, he proved himself at the training sessions and the training match so he showed me he has to get the chance and I am quite satisfied with the way he is developing and he is a beautiful talent and a player with a great future in professional football.
The player could make Ghana’s team to face Ethiopia and South Africa in the remaining two matches.
