Money Bags: Ghana FA Normalization Committee Increases Participation Fee For Special Competition To GH¢30K

The Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee has increased the participation fee for the yet to be launched Special football competition to an impressive GH¢30K as local football draws closer to the Ghanaian terrain for the first time in nearly 9 months.
The interim managerial body topped their initial GH¢25K proposed per club by an additional GH¢5K to take the appearance fee to a stunning USD5.8K for all 64 clubs set to participate in the competition.
All 16 premier league clubs are set to confirm their readiness in the coming days alongside the 48 second tier clubs across the whole country.
The FA Normalization committee failed to come to a consensus with their earlier stand towards the championship as club owners and other stakeholders resisted the format and the amount owed each club.
A representation from parliamentary select committee sat down with the leadership of the clubs and the Normalization committee in a bid to end the then varied opinions at both ends of the negotiation table.
The much awaited competition is expected to be launched on Monday March 25, 2019 and officially kicks off on Sunday March 31 across the various league centers.
