Ibrahim Issah was shown a straight red card in the 56th minute for a late tackle on Hearts of Oak defender Mohammed Alhassan.

Ignatius Fosu speaking to StarTimes after the game says the red card to Issah Ibrahim played a part.

“I think we were a little bit unlucky, even the last embers of the game when we brought Karikari and Ali they created chances but missed it. In this games there are fine margins and if you don’t take your chance you’ll be punished, I think the red card was the turning point in our game because we knew by 60th minute they will be gone, we believed that if the game was 2-1 and it was 11 against 11 we would have beaten them”

Goals from Benjamin Yorke, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Suraj Seidu saw Hearts qualify for the final.

Hearts of Oak now await the winner of the second semi final game between Bechem United and Aduana Stars.

“The MTN FA Cup committee has settled on the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi as the venue for the 2021/22 MTN FA Cup final on Sunday, June 26, 2022
