Head Coach of Karela United FC Johnson Smith has cautioned Asante Kotoko SC to be ready for a battle of their lives as they prepare for the grand finale of the NC Special Competition Tier 1.
Johnson Smith’s men defied the odds to book a crunch final game against Asante Kotoko SC with a hard to crack away win over Ashgold SC in the semi finals.
Ahead of the showdown with the Porcupine Warriors, Johnson Smith hinted at the Herculean task ahead of Asante Kotoko SC as they prepare for a highly inflammatory game.
After losing a number of his first team players including Ismail Abdul Ganiu, Emmanuel Ocran, Maxwell Baakoh Messi, Saddick Alhassan and Imoru Ibrahim, Johnson Smith rose to the podium with some well deserved wins on the road.
“I have trained my players and have given them experience, so if they like let’s play the game in heaven we will beat Kotoko. No team in Ghana is better than us, we are ready to play anywhere the NC tells us to even if we should play in Heaven.
“We respect Kotoko, they are big and one of the oldest teams in Ghana, but we are never afraid of them because the players playing for Kotoko are equally the same as Karela players”, Coach Johnson Smith revealed to OTEC FM.
The Taylor brothers have been so crucial to throw course of Karela United FC thanks to their lethal nature of goal.
