The free scoring midfield icon earned a move to the former premera Liga side after a stupendous campaign in the lower tiers of Spanish football with FC Melilla.
The Ghanaian import, who is the younger brother of former Black Stars anchorman , Derrick Boateng, has been quoted on his new club’s social media platforms suggesting another monstrous campaign in his debut season.
“I will give the best of myself, taking advantage of every opportunity that is given to me in this great project, I appreciate the confidence to allow me to be part of this great family,” Boateng told Real Oviedo’s social media platforms.
Richard Boateng scored 15 goals in 31 outings for Melilla including the division’s goal of the season to set the alarm bells ringing across Europe for his signature.
