West African Football Academy (WAFA) defensive midfielder, Nii Gyashie picked up the best player award in his sides 3-2 defeat to Great Olympics on Friday.
The Academy boys lost their first home game of the season in the entertaining five goals thriller match at Red Bull Arena in Sogakope.
Gladson Awako broke the deadlock with a magical free kick goal, bending the ball to the near post from a difficult angle to hand Olympics the lead.
The league chasers doubled the lead benefiting from Konadu Yiadom’s own goal in the second half.
Enoch Ansubonteng pulled one back for WAFA with 20 minutes to end the game.
The comeback was completed when Justus Torsutsey scores on the 79th minutes but unfortunately WAFA conceded at the death to lose the game.
Olympics arrow head Abdul Munasiru put the dagger through the chest of the home side netting a 90th minute winner.
Gyashie, although his side lost, was outstanding and hence was awarded NASCO man-of-the-match.
