Normalization Committee in more trouble as Medeama SC refuse to play in Northern Zone of Special competition.
The troubles of the GFA Normalization committee seem to get deeper as their mandated time of office draws neigh.
The latest trouble is the refusal of Medeama SC, who are southern Ghana Base club to play in the Northern zone where the committee has placed them.
According to the club, they are geographical placed in the Southern sector of Ghana, and on no account must they be placed in a zone other than the south.
Speaking on Happy FM Sports Show, the Communication director of the club Patrick Akoto said, Medeama SC has never applied to play any competition in the northern zone of the competition.
He insisted that, the Normalization committee did not contact the club on the decision to place them on the northern Zone, and will do everything within their powers to resists being placed in that zone
He stressed that, the Normalization committee must rectify the anomaly even before the club commits to play the competition.
The Normalization Committee has placed Medeama SC in the Northern zone alongside clubs like Asante Kotoko, Aduana Stars, Ashantigold, Bechem United, Eleven Wonders, Berekum Chelsea, and Wa All Stars.
The GFA Normalization committee’s Special competition is scheduled to kick of on Saturday February 16.
