Barcelona have officially appoint Ronald Koeman as the new Coach for the side.
The Dutchman returns as a trainer for the Spanish giants having served as a player.
Koeman played for Barcelona between 1989 and 1995 where he was a big figure in the team.
He had previously worked as an assistant Coach for the team but gets the chance to head the technical bench this time around.
A two-year agreement was reached as the former Netherlands Manager replaces Quique Setien who was sacked days ago following the team’s humiliation in the Champions League.
“FC Barcelona and Ronald Koeman have reached an agreement for the Dutchman to take over as first team coach until 30 June 2022,” the Club announced.
The 57-year-old will be unveiled by the Club in the coming hours.
The experienced Coach previously worked with the likes of Everton, Southampton, Feyenoord, Valencia, PSV, Benfica and Ajax.
