Moldovan champions FC Sheriff Tiraspol have officially announced the signing of Ghanaian goalkeeper Razak Abalora on a three-year contract from Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko SC.
The 24-year old will be unveiled this week and will immediately start training after which he will start training with his new club.
Abalora becomes the fourth Ghanaian on the books of the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League campaigners, joining midfielder Edmund Addo, attacker Basit Khalid and left back Patrick Kpozo who also joined the club this month.
The former WAFA SC and Azam FC shot-stopper has been integral to Kotoko since he joined them in October 2020 on a free transfer.
Abalora made 27 appearances for the Porcupine Warriors last season, keeping13 clean sheets in the process, the highest in the league.
He played 9 matches in the Ghana Premier League this campaign and has managed to keep 5 clean sheets and conceded 6 goals.
The highly-rated goalkeeper has four caps for the Black Stars since making his debut on 12 October 2020 in 5-1 win against Qatar in an international friendly.
