Maxwell Konadu was sacked by Asante Kotoko on Friday morning.
The club have made the move after a run of one victory in four games and fractious relations behind the scenes at Kumasi, between the head coach and the board – particularly on the recruitment front.
This decision comes after the surprise 0-1 lost at Olympics on Thursday afternoon, and Kotoko fans have been reacting to the news.
The consensus emotion is one of shock, and sadness that Maxwell has not been at least given until the end of his contract.
This is what the Olympics coach Annor Walker have been saying.
“I was sad when Maxwell Konadu was fired. They didn’t play bad against us but the management have their own reasons but I wasn’t happy with Maxwell’s exit,” the Great Olympics coach said.
Great Olympics continued their fine form in the Ghana Premier League with a 1-0 win over WAFA at the Accra Sports Stadium.
