Osei Palmer Declines Ghana FA Emoluments Committee Appointment; the inside story.

President and Sporting director for Division one league club Tema Youth Wilfred Osei Palmer has rejected an appointment to be on the Ghana FA committee to determine the emoluments of executive council members.
His rejection comes barely 24 hours after the Association released a statement announcing his appointment.
442gh.com investigations indicates the Ghana FA failed to complete consultations with Mr Palmer before the announcement.
A source close to Mr Palmer says the FA President called him on Phone to discuss the possibility of becoming a member of an ad-hoc committee to be formed by the Association to determine the compensation of Executive council members and other committees of the FA, but could not conclude the talks before the FA published the appointment.
Mr Okraku Called Palmer to inform him of the appointment, he [Palmer] said he has heard, and will get back only to hear on Radio that he has been appointed” the source said.
The source maintained the announcement was to put Mr Palmer into public ridicule, and questioned the rationale behind appointing someone who is in “court” with the Association.
Palmer dragged the Ghana FA to CAS over his ‘unfair’ disqualification from the presidential race in October last year.
The situation has put the presidency of Kurt Okraku on the line with wide reaching implication if Palmer becomes successful.
There are two things likely to happen – CAS to throw out the case and allow the status quo to remain or order for a re-run of the election if it was deemed the plaintiff was unfairly disqualified from the race.
The ruling from CAS will put to rest months of intense anxiety involving all the principal actors.
