Elmina Sharks General Secretary, Kelvin Aboagye Yeboah, has told the Ghana Football Association to overturn midfielder Issac Donkor’s red card ahead of their game against King Faisal on Sunday.
Donkor was red carded in Elmina Sharks’ 2-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak in Accra.
Referee Maxwell Owusu sent him off while Sharks players protested vigorously of a wrong penalty call by the center man.
“We need the player for our Sunday game, so the GFA must do the right thing by clearing our player of wrongdoing so that he can play this Sunday”, he said in an interview with Today newspaper.
Aboagye also confirmed that the club has submitted their official complaint to the FA regarding the penalty and experts due sanctions to be given to the referee.
Elmina Sharks are third place from mid table with 30 points after 25 games in an 18 team league.
