Arsenal are eager to keep star man Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the Club.
The Gunners have tabled £250,000-a-week contract extension offer for the Gabonese International who is being linked to Barcelona.
Barcelona have reportedly made the attacker a summer target with Aubameyang believed to have embraced a chance to join the Spanish giants.
Arsenal have been doing everything possible to prevent the 31-year-old from leaving.
A £250,000-a-week offer is now the new plan employed by the reigning FA Cup Champions to keep their most cherished player.
Currently Aubameyang pockets £200,000-a-week at the Club.
Mikel Arteta in an interview expressed his willingness to have the former Borussia Dortmund man stay at the Club.
“Scoring is the most difficult thing in football.
“He makes it look simple — look at the second goal.
“We have always had incredible strikers at this club and Auba deserves to be named and compared with the big names.
“By winning trophies he will be closer to them and, hopefully, we can have him for longer.”
Aubameyang moved to Arsenal in 2018 after a five-year career trophy winning span at Borussia Dortmund.
