Al Ahly head coach, Pitso Mosimane says he could not have won the treble without the ‘luck’ that ‘Special’ Ahly brought him.
The Red Devils completed their treble-winning season after beating Tala’a El-Gaish on penalties to win the Egyptian Cup on Saturday.
After just months of his appointment, Pisto Mosimane now boasts of the CAF Champions League, Egyptian League, and the Egypt Cup, which takes his trophies to five (won two titles with Sundowns) in the 2019/2020 football season.
Speaking after the game Pitso figured that he is at a “special place”.
“When I was at Sundowns, I was eliminated from the Champions League but then I won the same tournament, and this is luck, but I have to be in a special place in order for this luck to help me achieve titles,” he told ON Time Sports
“The current Al Ahly players are writing their names into the club’s history like the golden generation led by [Mohamed] Abou-Trika and his teammates.” he lauds his players.
“I want to thank Mahmoud El-Khatib [club president], Al Ahly management, the technical staff, the players, and everyone who participated in these achievements. I also thank my family and Al Ahly fans” he added
