Ghana Premier league side Legon Cities did not get the results they anticipated when they fell to second tier side Accra Young Wise on their pre season friendly encounter at the Pantang Village park.
Parading new recruits Raphael Ocloo, Jonah Attuquaye, Forster Braimah the newly looking Legon Cities side were expected to boost their confidence with a win, but Accra Young Wise had different ideas going into the game
Accra Youngwise, playing as under dogs in a game that was highly tilting on the side of the Legonites opened the scoring in the 15th min when Paapa Kwesi Mensah scored to boost their morale.
The goal brought some fire power into cities side who lifted play in an attempt to equalize, but Youngwise improved on their defence, stopping some breathtaking strikes from their opponents.
Youngwise held onto the lead to end first 45 minutes.
Coach Goran Barjaktarevi made some substitutions to his side for the second half to enhance his attack, this paid off after the referee awarded them penalty in the 70th minute for Raphael Ocloo to score from 12 yards.
Poised to win the friendly, Youngwise pushed more men into attack, and pressed for the winner, and just got that in the 85th minute when Paul Kwei Jr Slotted in to give the Division one side a huge confidence boosting win.
