Asante Kotoko SC playing body has received a massivel windfall in their bank accounts after their triumphant game against Accra Hearts of Oak SC in the nation’s flagship domestic fixture.
The Porcupine Warriors defied the odds to inflict a 2-1 defeat on their arch rivals and are now richer four times their agreed winning bonuses prior to the game.
Club President, Dr Kwame Kyei, donated a cash amount of GHC2000 to each player for their heroics in Accra thanks to a late winner from Naby Laye Keita.
The club’s winning bonus was pegged at GHC500 and GHC300 for home and away games respectively only for their club president to raise the value to GHC2000 to appreciate their efforts.
