The Ghana Premier League continues this weekend with some exciting fixtures coming up on matchday seventeen as Hearts of Oak will welcome West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) to the Accra Sports Stadium.
Accra Hearts of Oak are desperate to win this game and start on a good note for Coach Samuel Boadu who took over from the club’s U15 coach Samuel Nii Noi.
This will be the first competitive game for Boadu as he was unveiled earlier this week and held his first training session on Thursday to prepare for his debut.
Hearts of Oak recorded its first home loss of the season against Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday January 30.
The Phobians will be heading into this fixture with a lot of cautious optimism against WAFA who are very difficult to beat anytime they play against them.
The Phobians have also bolstered their squad with the signing of former Elven Wonders playmaker Salifu Ibrahim and former Inter Allies goal poacher Victorien Adebayor.
WAFA won in their last game against league leaders Karela United at home and have set sight on winning this game. The academy boys will like to guard their good record they have against Hearts of Oak.
Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum is gradually finding balance in his team after injuries and departures hit his squad.
WAFA occupy the ninth position on the league log after matchday sixteen while Hearts are placed 5th on the league log.
