WAFA will be hoping to continue with their resurgence when they welcome Great Olympics to the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope on Friday for their matchday 23 fixture.
It has not been the start of life in the second round that the Academy Boys envisaged as they suffered a defeat prior to the start, but have over the last three games churned out incredible results – a home win against Eleven Wonders, an away lost against Elmina Sharks and a difficult win against Berekum Chelsea on the road.
Great Olympics on the other hand will be seeking their 12th win in twenty-three matches on Sunday against WAFA; surprisingly, they have gone two away games without a win in the second round – things are not looking good for the Dade lads at the moment.
Great Olympics have the momentum and are highly favoured to win this tie, but we all know how illogical football can be at times.
WAFA are yet to beat Great Olympics in the top flight league after three attempts, they have recorded one draw and two defeats but will be aiming to over turn the tables against Great Olympics on Friday.
The tie is scheduled to kick-off on Friday at exactly 15:00 GMT.
