Ebusua Dwarfs Attacker Enock Afram Scored the 400th goal of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League after his 87th minute goal condemned Great Olympics beyond reach at the Cape Coast Stadium.
Making only his second appearance in the Premier League with the Crabs, Afram entered into the Ghana Premier League history books with his late goal againat high flying Dade boys in Cape Coast.
Before the start of week 21, the Domestic top flight had produced 391 goals in 180 matches.
Ebusua Dwarfs and Great Olympics kicked off in a late evening game at the New Cape Coast Stadium with Asante Kotoko vs Medeama and Liberty Professionals vs Berekum Chelsea already played.
The two early games produced 5 goals taking the season tally to 396 going into the Ebusua Dwarfs game.
The Abontoa Bontoa lads had taken a 2 goal first half lead through Simon Martey and Eliah KOfi Jr, before Michael Ohene Asamoah added another right at the start of the second half taking the season tally to 399.
When all seemed to have ended for the Dade boys, Enock Afram popped up to score what was going to be the end to the game, and eventually earning him the tag of scoring the quatercentennial goal of the season.
This years’ competition has produced some incredible goals in 21 weeks, and in line to break the all time Ghana Premier League most goals scored for a single season.
The 2007/2008 season stand as the season with the most goals at 556, followed by the year 2000 which produced 530 goals.
with more than a 100 more matches to end the season, it looks likely the goals tally will double by week 34.
