Retired Ghana international Sam Johnson has called on the management of Accra Hearts of Oak to overhaul the playing body of the capital based side if the club is to return to wining ways.
The former Black Stars versatile defender charged Accra Hearts of Oak leadership to beef their playing body with a minimum of 16 players heading into the new era under Kim Grant.
Accra Hearts of Oak have endured a near 10-year old domestic hoodoo and have since identified Kim Grant as the man to lead them to domestic success.
“Hearts of Oak needs about 16 experience players to beef up the squad.
“Some current players in Hearts of Oak are not Hearts materials, many young players have been signed but the team is still not in good shape, they need big and experienced players as top up”, Sam Johnson suggested on OTEC FM.
The club supporters have since thrown their weight behind Kim Grant as they seek to lift their first trophy since 2008/09 season.
