Inter Allies manager Rashid Iddi has asked for a lengthy break away from football to enable him concentrate on his religious duties in the office of the Cape Coast regional chief Imam.
The Tema based gaffer stunned the football fraternity when he vacated his post less than 24 hours to their clash with Accra Hearts in the last round of matches in the first round of the NC Special competition.
Management of the Cappeli Boys has now revealed that their head coach asked for unconditional break to enable him concentrate on his religious duties.
“As per Coach Rashid Iddi’s request to continue his religious duties, Management of the Club agreed and granted Coach Rashid Iddi his request.
He is free to return to our Club when he is ready. We wish him the very best as he goes back to serve the people of Cape Coast as the Deputy Regional Chief Imam”, a statement from the club reads.
As a staunched muslim and with Ramadan looming in the horizon, Rashid Iddi will be expected to performance religious duties in the office of the Cape Coast regional chief Imam.
The Capelli Boys are expected to name a new gaffer in the coming days.
