Real Tamale United midfielder, David Abagna Sandan says his primary focus is to help his club achieve on the pitch, rather than win individual laurels.
The talismanic midfielder has had a terrifuc start to life with the newly promoted Ghana Premier League side, scoring five(5) goals in their opening three games of the campaign.
Abagna and RTU will travel to the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa to face struggling Aduana Stars and ahead of the game, the midfielder says the emphasis is on what the club’s fans want.
“I am very happy here, it’s a nice to have personal record,” the 23-year old told TV3 in an interview.
“For me the most important thing is to emphasize what the team and the fans want, that’s most important to me now,” he added.
David Abagna joined RTU at the start of the season after a two-year spell with Ashanti Gold SC.
Before his move, the young maestro had offers from several topflight clubs in Ghana including Hearts of Oak.
But the midfielder said the decision to join RTU wasn’t a difficult one.
“I feel home because most of these guys in the team are players I have played with during school days and the coach is more like a father to me, so coming back to play for RTU wasn’t a difficult decision,” Abagna said.
RTU have had a good start in the Ghana Premier League picking 4points in their opening three games.
And Abagna believes Real Tamale United would surprise many in the league with their scintillating performances.
