Two weeks after being tested positive for Covid-19, the president of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), Augustin Sidy Diallo has died.
Information picking from Ivorian online portal, afrique-sur7.fr indicate that the news was confirmed by the first vice-president of the FIF, Sory Diabaté.
His sad demise occurred on Saturday, November 21, 2020, around 3 p.m. in a hospital in Abidjan where he was following his care in accordance with health provisions.
The 61-year-old succeeded Jacques Anouma as the president of the Ivorian Football Federation in 2011. Under his reign, the Elephants won their second African Cup in their history in 2015 in Equatorial Guinea.
