SAD NEWS: Wa based Class One Referee Julius Pag Dies

A Wa-based class one referee in the upper west region has passed on after suffering fatal accident on the Temdamba road with a water tanker.

The former student of Wa Senior High Technical School was, who doubles as a driver for a tricycle, was hit from behind by a moving water tanker along the Tendanba road in the Wa Municipality around 8:00 am on Saturday, April 13, 2019.

The Nandom born fast emerging official was then rushed to the Wa regional hospital where he passed on later in the evening.

Julius Pag was one of the fastest emerging officials from the upper west region and was tipped for nationwide stardom until his sudden demise.

He recently officiated in the Wa Islamic SHS inter-houses and super zonal sports festival only last week.  

The late Julius will be laid to rest at his home town, Piina in the upper west region.
