Asante Kotoko coach Maxwell is in a quagmire of taking a lifelong decision on which two of his three Assistants will have to leave the club having been given the directive to choose one of the three.
A directive from the newly constituted management requires the gaffer to choose one Assistant out of the current three.
Oyerepa FM in Kumasi reports the coach is expected to announce his preferred choice to the management in the coming days as the club takes a new direction.
Maxwell Konadu’s three Assistants includes Johnson Smith who joined the club from Karela United during the clubs CAF confederation cup in 2019, Akakpo Patron who was recruited in November 2017 to assist Steve Pollack, while Abdulai Gazale was recommended by Maxwell upon signing for the club.
It is not clear which of them will catch the eye of the head coach, with Akakpo patron penciled to lead the club’s yet to be set up academy.
Asante Kotoko have given the Ghana FA their consent to participating in the CAF Champions league, and will need a stable technical team to executive the campaign.
