South Africa Goal Machine Chrestinah Thembi Kgatlana Crowned African Women Footballer of the Year

South Africa international Chrestinah Thembi Kgatlana has been voted the CAF Women footballer of the year in 2018 for her starring role with the Bayana Banyana.

The free scoring center forward stole the show at the 2018 AWCON staged in Ghana capped by the Most Valuable Player gong despite missing out on the ultimate collective team glory with her teammates.

Thembi Kgatlana shook off competition from the reigning CAF Women player of the year, Assisat Oshoala and the fast emerging Francisca Ordega.

Assisat Oshoalla and Francisca Ordega led the Super Falcons to another AWCON glory whiles Kgatlana’s stupendous display booked South Africa a place in the 2019 FIFA Women’s world cup.
