Special Competition: The Archimedes and Trachtenberg calculation on how Asante Kotoko can qualify from group A.

 

Fans of Asante Kotoko will have to apply the calculation of Archimedes principles and wait for the final day results of the special competition to know whether their darling club will make the semi finals or not.

Asante Kotoko are currently lying top of group A with 21 points going into the final round of matches, this  position and points build up is not enough to see the porcupine warriors at the semi final stage of the competition, with Heats of Oak already qualifying.

With one more match to go, the calculators are already in place, with “Manhyia employing” a team of mathematicians to deploy the Archimedes principles on the future of the porcupine club.

 

The Calculations

• Asante Kotoko will top the group if they win at Aduana, (a results they have never gotten in 10 years at the Nana Agyeman Badu Park.
• If they draw in Dormaa, they will still not be guaranteed a semi final berth, and therefore will have to rely on the outcome of the Techiman eleven wonders vs AshantiGold game, and hope Medeama fail to beat Berekum Chelsea
• If Asante Kotoko draw in Dormaa, and AshantiGold win in Nkoranza, and Medeama also win against Berekum Chelsea in Tarkwa, the porcupine warriors will urge out Medeama, and qualify on the head to head rule
• If Asante Kotoko lose in dormaa, then all the gods in the Ashanti region must be deployed to Nkoranza and Tarkwa to ensure, both AshantiGold, and Medeama SC also fail to win, so the status quo remain.
• If Asante Kotoko lose, and AshantiGold, and Medeama win their matches, then its bye bye for them

The final scenario 1:

Asante Kotoko wins in Dormaa – 24 points

Ashantigold wins in Nkoranza – 23 points

Medeama wins in Tarkwa – 22 points

The final scenario 2:

Asante Kotoko draw in Dormaa – 22 points (Asate Kotoko will qualify on the head to head rule)

Ashantigold win in Nkoranza – 23 points

Medeama wins in Tarkwa – 22 points

The final scenario 3:

Asante Kotoko lose in  Dormaa – 21 points

Ashantigold lose in Nkoranza – 20 points

Medeama wins in Tarkwa- 22 points.

The final Scenario 4:

Asante Kotoko must guarantee their fans at least a win or draw in Dormaa, and be safe for the semi final place possibly against Accra Hearts of Oak.
