In-form St. Gallen midfielder Majeed Ashmeru has been handed his maiden Ghana Black Stars call up for the 2019 AFCON clash with Ethiopia, 442gh.com can authoritatively report.
The St. Gallen play maker has been very phenomenal for his side in the current campaign, guiding them to third on the table after just 13 games.
Ashmeru’s stupendous form has not only earned him the top assist for St. Gallen but has also found the back of the net more than twice in all competitions for the side.
442gh.com can report that the former WAFA midfielder is the only new boy in the side ahead of the clash with Ethiopia.
The Black Stars will take on Ethiopia in Adis Ababa on November 18 in the penultimate group clash of the 2019 AFCON qualifier and play Kenya at home to wrap up the qualifiers.
Ashmeru who is only 21 is also available for selection for the U23 side – The Black Meteors – as they also prepare to take on Togo in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games qualifier.
