The 2019 version of the annual Kpandai Inter Community Football Game has left scouts in mad rush for a teen prodigy with wizardry feet at the just ended championship in the Northern Region of Ghana. The yearly event saw football scouts storming the community games in search of raw talents with a 16-year old Tahiru Bashiru defying his age with some indescribable feet for his Nasaral team.
Dubbed as Kpandai Pele by the village football fanatics, the teen sensation spiced the championship with exceptional first touch of the ball, visionary passing and a composed scoring prowess exhibited by the elit class of footballers. His elusive pace ignited a mad rush for his signature with the delegated scouts bent of hoarding the teenager away from the village.
Already a member of the Kpandai District team and a former player at the U15 level, many pundits and connessierus of the game tipped Tahiru for national stardom, once he can get the exposure. Managers, teammates, fans and scouts presents described Tahiru as a blessing to Kpandai, northern region and Ghana at large with first hand experience to back their claim.
Statistically, the attacking midfielder, occasionally used as an auxiliary attacker, boast of very good numbers with an average of a goal or assist every other game. His timely passing and trademark dummies has earned him several assists with some sublime goals to match.
