Former Manchester United defender, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, has revealed the difficult moment he had during his stay with the Reds.
Fosu-Mensah rose through the ranks of Man United into the senior side in 2016 where he made his debut against Arsenal.
The right-back in an interview with Happy FM said it was an honour to play for the most successful club in the English Premier league.
“Playing for Manchester United is really a blessing. Playing in the Premier league is not easy because any team can be beaten,”
However, more playing time was difficult to come by which influenced his decision to join Bayer Leverkusen in January.
“For me, it was important to play every game but I was not getting that at Manchester United that was why I left. It was not really an easy decision for me,” he added.
The versatile defender was sent on series of loan spells while with Manchester United and made only 30 appearances for the parent club.
The 23-year-old is currently in Ghana enjoying the holidays.
