The Black Satellites of Ghana have been pitched in a boggy group consisting of Mali, Burkina Faso and the unpredictable Senegalese team in the 2019 Total U20 African Cup of Nations draw.
The Ghanaian team will have to battle out their West African rivals in the continental showdown slated for Niger for a place in next year’s FIFA U20 World cup after the official draw was conducted by CAF.
Jimmy Corbblah’s men will battle 8 other African nations for one of the 3 slots for CAF at the FIFA U20 World cup with Nigeria, South Africa and Burundi joining host nation Niger in the other group.
The African U20 championship is set to kick off from February 2, 2019 across 2 cities in Niger.
Host nation, Niger and the other group A nations will pitch camp in Niamey whiles Ghana will be battling for one of the 3 slots from group B based in Maradi.
The Black Satellites crashed out of the WAFU U20 championship in Lome, Togo , with a resounding 4-2 thrashing at the hands of rivals, Nigeria earlier this week.
