Accra Hearts of Oak Oldies are set to take on a Star studded side of East Legon Monday Stars at the East Legon Park in a ceremonial game to officially present their trophy won in their recent clash against their colleagues from Asante Kotoko SC.
The game is expected to pitch a number of Ghana’s most celebrated footballers in recent years led by Samuel Osei Kuffuor and Kwame Ayew.
Hearts of Oak emerged 4-2 penalty victors over their arch rivals from Kumasi after an entertaining 2-2 in regulation time at the Accra Sports Stadium in the veteran clash.
The Phobians are expected to field the likes of Charles Asampong Tailor, Yaw Amankwah Mireku, Daniel Ziema Quaye, Bobby Tagoe Short, Abladey Morgan , Nana Bruce with Eben Dida in post.
The East Legon Monday Stars will parade an array of stars led by Samuel Osei Kuffuor, Augustine Ahinful, Kwame Ayew, Atta Ghadafi, Mohammed Gargo and John Paintsil.
The game will be played at the Baweleshie School Park on Monday, March 11, 2019 after which the Hearts of Oak Oldies will hand the trophy official to the Chairman of Monday Stars, Mr Humphrey Williams, former goalkeeper of Accra Great Olympics.
