In his quest to promote sports in the Ghana, U.K based sports enthusiast, Mr Ernest Mensah-Sekyere has donated sports kits and medals worth thousands of cedis to Nana Afia Kobi Ampem Ladies Sporting Club (NAKA SC), a female division one side in Kumasi to enhance the team’s professionalism.
Speaking to the Media, Mr Mensah-Sekyere explained the need for such a move.
“I see this as my social responsibility to help the development of sports in the Ghana, hence the need for this donations.
Groups and individuals who contributed to the donation included Perkins Great Eastern sport kits, who were represented by Annette Joyce, and the City and Commercials director and the Marketing officer Mr Pep Cipriano.
There were other support from the trustees of the Buckles Solicitors and the Unison Union – Peterborough.
President of NAKA, Evelyn Nsiah Asare has expressed appreciation to the donations, and believes this will go along way to enhance the development of Sporting talent in Ghana, and raise the standard of the club.
