Bayern Munich walloped Chelsea 4-1 to progress to the next stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Chelsea headed into the game with a huge task of overturning a 3-0 deficit in the first leg.
In-form Robert Lewandoski scored Bayern’s first from the penalty spot before Ivan Perisic made it two in the 24th minute. Tammy Abraham pulled a goal back for Chelsea just before half time.
Bayern came into the second half the much better side and got another goal 14minutes from time through Corentin Tolisso. Lewandoski will put the icing on the cake with a late goal to edge the 2013 Champions on a 7-1 aggregate score.
At the San Siro, Barcelona managed to beat Napoli 3-1 to qualify on a 4-2 aggregate after drawing 1-1 in the first leg, thanks to goals from Clement Lenglet, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. Lorenzo Insigne got Napoli’s consolation from the penalty spot.
Saturday’s games completes the round of 16 matches with Barcelona now taking on Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals.
