UEFA EL: Classical Chelsea Demolish Sorry Arsenal In 5-Goal Epic Grand Finale

Chelsea ended their turbulent 2018/19 campaign with the UEFA Europa League crown in a one sided 4-1 thrashing of London rivals Arsenal in Baku.

The Blues roasted their London neighbors without mercy under the inspiration of soon to depart Eden Hazard.

The mercurial Belgian looks destined to ink a mammoth 4- year deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid and bid farewell to his current paymasters with a powerful brace to match.

Having failed to match Manchester City and Liverpool FC in the English Premier League, Mauricio Sarri and his inconsistent charges settled for a distant third place in the domestic topflight and needed the UEFA Europa League to atone for their dreadful campaign.

With no major trophy as a professional manager, the odds went against Mauricio Sarri, especially playing against an expert in the Europa in Unai Emery.

The onset of the game lived to its prematch hype with both teams announcing their intentions from the scratch.

A pulsating opening 45 minutes failed to reflect the true state of proceedings on the game with ma y chances created at both ends of the pitch.

Competition Top scorer and former Arsenal marksman, Olivier Giroud, came to the forefront and gave Chelsea a deserved 1-0 lead just 5 minutes after recess.

The French man feasted on a well timed ball from Emerson Palmeras to shoot Chelsea into the lead.

Former FC Barcelona winger, Pedro Rodriguez, teamed up with Hazard to double the lead for the Blues on the hour mark for his 11th of the competition.

Eden Hazard then dusted himself from the ground to dispatch the game deciding third goal from the spot kick to put Chelsea into a resounding 3-0 just 5 minutes after Pedro’s goal.

Alex Iwobi pulled one back for Arsenal with 20 minutes to play only for the hazardous Hazard to restore the 3-0 lead 3 minutes later.

At 4-1 and with 18 minutes to play, Chelsea held their nerves for their only silverware in the season whiles Arsenal missed on UEFA Champions League with that suffocating defeat after finishing outside the top four.
