Sporting activities in the upper west region are set to receive massive facelift with the completion of the region’s multipurpose sports complex erected in the regional capital.
The much awaited sports facility is close to completion with virtually all sectors of the edifice ready for usage including the playing field.
442gh.com exclusively toured the facility and can confirm that the volley court, basketball court, hand ball and long tennis, seating units and the playing pitch are all ready for use as seen in the visual attached.
The only missing factor in the facility is the athletic oval that is awaiting completion for the project to be handed over.
Once completed, the facility is expected to be used by all 11 districts in the upper west region including the second cycle school games.
An estimated 10,000 fans are expected to occupy the multifaceted sports facility when completed.
The facilities are flagship sports interventions carved out by the Nana Addo-led NPP government in their first term as part of the campaign message during the 2016 General Election.
