Black Starlets Head Coach, Ben Fokuo says his team is ‘ready for every team’ ahead of Nigeria clash today.
Ghana opens their tournament against Nigeria in a late afternoon kickoff against Nigeria in the WAFU-U17 Zone B tournament in Kegue, Togo.
The Young Eagles after losing their first game will need a win to avoid an early exit in Group B made of three countries.
Speaking ahead of the game, Fokuo said although his team will face a good side in Nigeria, the Starlets want a win to boost their chances of progressing.
“We are ready for every team and against Nigeria, we know that they are a good side. So we have to prepare for them.
“I know they lost against Cote d’Ivoire But that is our first match that we are also going to play tomorrow. And before we can go to the next stage, tomorrow’s match is a match we need to win and we are prepared for every country so far as am concerned.”
The champions and second place of the WAFU Zone B tournament will qualify for AFCON U17 championship in Morocco this year.
Meanwhile, the game is scheduled at 4 pm kick-off, January 9.
