Match Report: WAFU Women Championship: Senegal 0-2 Ghana, Black Queens produce a second half magic to silence noisy Senegalese side

Two beautifully taken second half goals by Alice Kusi and Mukurama Abdulai was enough to Silence a Senegalese women side who came into the Championship full of confidence.
The Black Queens who are defending the title they won a year ago in the same country went into the game as the overwhelming favorites, but the Senegalese had their own plans.
Playing a tight game, the Senegalese held onto the attackers of the Black Queens, sealing all available holes.
Their strategy helped them, as they went into the break goalless.
Back into the second half and Coach Mercy Tagoe will map up a strategy to destabilize and neutralize the efforts of the Senegalese.
The coach made some changes to her team by introducing FIFA U17 top scorer Mukurama Abdulai.
The substitution made real impact, as the Black Queens broke into the defence of the Senegalese to score the first goal through Alice Kusi in the 74th minute.
The goal forced the Senegalese to open up play.
This allowed the Ghanaians to switch play much unto the flanks where the team had strength.
Mukurama Abdulai doubled the lead, to put the game beyond Senegal to give Ghana the first win of the competition, and go joint top with host Ivory Coast who beat Togo by 5-0.
Ghana will play her second group game of the tournament against Togo on Friday May 10.
