Premier League side Ashantigold SC says they cannot be held liable for any acts that compromised their Ghana premier league week 34 clash against Inter Allies.
Statement from the club said results of the game was through “hard word and team efforts” and that the club cannot be cited for any acts of match manipulation.
“We take notice of the videos circulating in relation to our game against Inter Allies and wish to unequivocally disassociate ourselves from any wrong doing.
Ashantigold played competitively in the entire duration of the game, with our players scoring 5 great goals through hard work and team effort in the 15th, 26th, 42nd, 49th, and the 77th minute respectively.
We have no idea as to 2hy the opponent’s player scored two own goals after we were up by five goals with 13 minutes to end the game.
we demonstrated throughout the game that we were determined to play to the best of our abilities, and not to play any pre determined scoreline as its been circulated.”
