Head coach of Ghanaian side Hasaacas Ladies, Yussif Basigi is confident his side will defeat South African’s Mamelodi Sundowns in the final of the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League on Friday.
The Ghanaian champions are on the brink of making history by becoming the first ever Women’s football club to win continental laurel.
But standing between the treble winners and the trophy is a Mamelodi Sundowns side, who themselves are no push overs.
However, speaking in the build up to the game, Yussif Basigi says his side are going for the ultimate.
“Playing the final game means that both teams are fighting for something important, the trophy,” the coach said.
“We are coming to win the title and there’s no turning back.
“I have faith in my goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and attackers. You will see more variations of how the team plays”. He added.
Hasaacas Ladies take on Mamelodi Sundowns in the final of the competition which will be staged at the 30th June Stadium in Cairo, Egypt.
